AN INDEPENDENT COMMUNITY PROJECT

Privacy & credits.

A small, simple website.

This website adds no analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, third-party fonts, or cookies. It does not use browser storage or require an account. Its images, styles, and JavaScript are served from the same site.

The site is hosted by GitHub Pages. GitHub states that it logs and stores visitors’ IP addresses for security, whether or not visitors have signed into GitHub. See GitHub Pages’ data-collection explanation and the GitHub Privacy Statement. External links lead to services with their own policies.

The Android app runs play and analysis locally. It has no accounts, ads, or tracking. Downloading the app and voluntarily sharing a PGN or diagnostics involve the services you choose. See the app’s privacy and licensing documentation.

Built on shared work.

Mobile Maia is independently developed. It is not an official application of, or endorsed by, Maia Chess, the University of Toronto CSSLab, Stockfish, Lichess, En Croissant, or Chessnut.

Full component licences and corresponding source references are recorded in the app’s third-party notices. The website does not run a chess model or engine in your browser.

Screenshots, with context.

The app icon and screenshots are copied unchanged from the Mobile Maia Stable repository at commit cd2551f70f9dde903d4bf543c7ea309beecee58f. The play and evaluation-graph examples come from September 2026; the analysis and brilliant-move examples come from Stable 2.2. They illustrate app workflows and may differ from the latest version. They are not evidence that a new app release has passed its checks.

See asset provenance for exact source paths. The screenshot display frames and page layout are website styling; the screenshots themselves are unedited. Board and piece artwork retains its upstream attribution and licences.

Free to inspect and improve.

Original website code is licensed under AGPL-3.0-only. App screenshots and branding retain their existing rights and upstream component licences. Read the website source, or report a website problem in its issue tracker.
